Bridge Music Jazz Presents Jazz Too

Fri 18 Jan 2019

8pm - 10.30pm Weekly Jazz Series from jazz promotion body Bridge Music featuring UK and international touring bands and original music from Scottish based jazz ensembles. Premier jazz guitarist and vocalist Chris Clark performs with ‘Jazz Too’, a trio consisting of Eric Lovat (piano) Robert Henderson (trumpet) and Cameron Maxwell (bass). As in his sell-out show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, at the Pheasantry, Kings Road, London and at Oliver’s Jazz Bar, Greenwich, London, he journeys through the ‘Great American Songbook’ combining captivating vocals with humorous anecdotes about the songs origins and the great songwriters behind them. Recent Edinburgh Festival Fringe Reviews “Chris Clark took the audience through some jazz and blues highlights of the 20th century, breathing life into the setlist, feeding the audience juicy facts about the songs and insightful trivia about the artists who created them.” “Chris’ easygoing manner inspires a relaxed attitude and the band are laid-back and enjoy themselves, creating a gorgeous, mellow atmosphere. All accomplished musicians, they play with flair and talent and, refreshingly, don't take themselves too seriously. Chris really excels when he pulls out the guitar and delivers some great jazz solos himself” Broadway Baby Rating ‘Cool Blue’ 4 Star Should you wish to guarantee seating, you can book and pay online, £7 per person.
