Bridge Music Jazz Presents, Murray Brothers Quartet Ft Ben MacDonald

8pm - 10.30pm Conor and Micheal Murray have studied and worked with many of Ireland and Scotlands most revered and young rising stars of Jazz, and most recently with Mobo-nominated drumming sensation David Lyttle. Conor was a finalist at the BBC Young Scottish Jazz Musician Of The Year 2018 and has been described as a musician who "plays with energy and a firm tone across the instrument’s full range" by the Times. Micheal has been studying with some of Europe's greatest Saxophonists including Tommy Smith, and the US; now Austria based saxophonist, Andy Middleton, and is an in demand Saxophonist in Glasgow, featuring in the Edinburgh Jazz Festival this year with the Mark Hendry Octet and the Mark Hendry Large Ensemble. This week, they feature one of Scotland's most promising and active guitarists, Glasgow based Ben MacDonald. Ben is currently one of the most active and in demand guitarists in Scotland, featuring as a sideman in groups like Mezcla and the James Lindsay Group, and leads his own acclaimed group, the Animus Quartet. As well as being part of major festivals like Celtic Connections, the Eddie Lang Jazz Festival and Glasgow Jazz Festival, Ben is a regular feature of the Glasgow jazz scene, and holds down his own weekly residency, playing with some of the city's and beyonds, most exciting musicians. Coming together these group of musicians always weave adventurous and exciting narratives through the music, and promises to be an exhilarating musical experience. Seating is for the entire night and you can stay on after the jazz sessions for the next band playing from 11pm - 1am at no additional cost. Please fill in our booking form to arrange. Alternatively you can pay on door on night £7 concessions £6. Our cabaret style tables seat 4 to 6 so smaller groups may be sharing and larger groups split over several tables.
